Rising gradually overall, but steadily here and there, most of the trail is fairly easy at a leisurely pace. Only near the lake- named ‘The Loch’, does the incline change sharply, requiring a bit more huffing and puffing.
Doing this hike and others in the area in the spring is a joy because the snow is still mostly in tact, yet the weather is warm enough to enjoy without having to bundle up too much. That said, make sure you have some sort of traction device such as micro-spikes to help you on the slippery trail and gives an extra piece of mind to prevent falls.
